International Women’s Day Celebrations at Hyperface

Women at Hyperface are a dynamic and diverse group, to say the least. 

Our youngest intern, at 21 years, is just half the age of our most seasoned member. We work across three different cities and represent functions as diverse as product development, tech front-end and back-end development, integration, project management, business development, and marketing. Given this diversity, we knew that our International Women’s Day celebrations needed to foster genuine connections, while avoiding tokenism. 

And so, we took the day to bond as a tribe. We huddled around the table – speaking, listening and gaining deeper insights into each other’s lives. As we shone the spotlight on one another, stories started to flow freely, blurring the lines between our professional and personal experiences. 

We heard tales of grit – of leaving comfortable corporate jobs to embrace the challenges of startups, of returning to the workplace after career breaks spanning over a decade, of the determination of making a mark in a domain where men hold fort, and then some more.  We also heard heart-warming instances of support and kinship – from help with house hunting to lending support on tough problems and tight deadlines. 

Just listening to these little ways how each of this tribe champion each other every day at work and beyond was both enlightening and inspiring in equal parts. So, while we all acknowledge what this day signifies, it’s humbling and heartening to be a part of a company where we inadvertently celebrate this spirit every day!

Our discussions weren’t just about the present but about envisioning where we’re headed as we brainstormed how to attract more incredible women to join our ranks.

Of course, no celebration at Hyperface is complete without some good food and some fun pictures. And some traditions don’t need to be broken! There’s something truly magical about sharing a meal with a table of like-minded people, where conversations and laughter flow freely! 

As the day drew to a close, each of us received a specially curated book, chosen to inspire and guide us on our individual career paths – a small reminder that our journey doesn’t end with a single day of celebration; rather, it’s a continuous evolution fueled by knowledge, passion and the right support. 

Here’s to the fiery, fierce, and fantastic women of Hyperface and beyond!  

Let’s continue to shine brightly and uplift one another, wherever we go. Because together, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.
