1. Can you introduce yourself and tell us what you do at Hyperface?
Hi, I’m Gaurav Jaiswal, a Product Manager at Hyperface. I’m responsible for the Modular Customer Onboarding Stack, which we call Onboard IQ.
2. What’s the most interesting part of your role as a Product Manager at Hyperface?
I joined Hyperface when the Onboarding Stack was just an idea. Seeing it grow from zero to where it is now, and gain traction with our clients has been incredibly rewarding. The positive results we’re seeing make it even more exciting.
3. Could you describe your journey at Hyperface and how it has shaped your perspective on product innovation?
I was drawn to the dynamic nature of product management. My time at Hyperface has shaped my approach to product thinking for B2B & B2B2C products, and I’ve learned a lot about building impactful solutions along with being involved in the conceptualization of OnBoard IQ.
4. What do you enjoy the most about working in fintech, especially at a company like Hyperface?
The team! We’re a small, talented group, and the level of collaboration here is fantastic. It’s great to work with such passionate individuals.
5. What’s the key mantra that drives your work as a Product Manager?
My mantra is simple—drive the impact!
6. How do you bring fun and creativity into your workday?
It’s a team effort, really. The energy within the team sets the tone for creativity and fun. We’ve built a culture where everyone gets it, and that’s what keeps things fresh and exciting.
7. So you work on Onboard IQ- What sets Onboard IQ apart from other customer onboarding solutions?
Onboard IQ stands out because of its flexibility and its ability to handle complex customer journeys. It’s built to adapt, and that’s what makes it unique.
8. Can you share a particular challenge you faced while working on Onboard IQ, and how you overcame it?
Working on anything from zero to one is always challenging. The hardest part is prioritizing what to do and when. It’s all about managing the team’s bandwidth while ensuring we continue to make an impact.
9. You recently won an award for Hyperface Heroes for exemplifying our organization’s value of “Thinking in Fundamentals.” What does that mean to you, and how do you apply that mindset in your work?
For me, “Thinking in fundamentals” is about first-principle thinking—breaking things down to their core components. Once you understand the root of a problem, you can address it effectively before jumping into solutions.
In the Fun Facts Roundup:
10. On a typical weekend, where would we likely find you recharging for the week ahead?
You’d find me chilling at Cubbon Park or Lalbagh with a book, or maybe hitting the gym to unwind.
11. Is there a movie you can watch repeatedly, and why?
I could watch any Irrfan Khan movie on repeat, especially Piku and Tamasha. They never get old.
12. If all superheroes were to battle each other, who do you think would win and why?
I’m not sure who would win, but I’d root for Ironman, simply because of his incredible character arc.
13. If you had to pick only three foods to eat for a month, what would they be?
I’m not too picky, but I’d go with Thatte Idli with multiple chutneys, salads of various types, and Rajma Chawal.
