Team Expedition — Stack to the Future ‘24

At Hyperface, we are building the next-gen tech stack that’s shaping the future of fintech. Every day, we go deep into finding solutions, brainstorm product ideas, and push ourselves to come up with something great. But just as important as our work is taking the time to step back, recharge, and reconnect as a team. What better way to do that than with our annual team expedition?

Inspired by the sci-fi thriller Back to the Future, the theme this year (and quite aptly we’d say!) was Stack to the Future ’24. The whole team this year embarked on a journey for two days full of fun, laughter, and loads of memories. And what better place than at the aptly named Ravishing Retreat set in the peaceful environs on the outskirts of Bengaluru? Here is a behind-the-scenes look at what went down during our team expedition!

Day 1 began with the journey as our team hit the road with excitement, grooving to regional and Bollywood tunes along the way. As we sang and danced our way to the retreat, the energy was contagious — you could feel the anticipation building for what was ahead.

By noon, we arrived at our destination, checked in, and settled into our rooms. But there was no time to rest — not when there were so many activities waiting for us! Our teammates from all over India converged for this occasion, making it a great opportunity to meet, bond, and connect in person. From adrenaline-pumping zip cycling and ATV rides to relaxing water sports and intense indoor games, everyone had the chance to dive into something they loved. And when we weren’t flying through the air or tearing through the dirt, we gathered over lunch to chat and relax.

The evening? Oh, it was a night to remember. DJ Night kicked off with a bang, and the team showed up in their best glittery black outfits. We grooved all night to the beats and everyone on the dance floor. And let’s not forget the hilarious Fun Awards nominations — everyone had the chance to nominate colleagues who best-epitomized categories like Office Comedian, Hangover Hero, Fit Foodie, and so many more.  It was a blast voting for our colleagues. Day 1 wrapped up with smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of dancing!

The second day was all about recognizing our Hyperface Heroes — the stars who embody the spirit and values of our company. It was inspiring to see our own Gaurav Jaiswal awarded for “Thinking in Fundamentals”, Harsh Kullal for “Tenacity”, and Pratik Mehra for “Learning and Mentoring” the team. These awards served as a reminder of the core principles that drive our approach to work.

Next up, we celebrated the winners of the Hyperface Hackfest! The victorious Team Proximity received their personalized Mokobara bags, while the runner-up Team Bhooke Devs received Amazon gift vouchers. And of course, every participant in the Hackfest received a thoughtful book to take home.

Next, it was time for some team-building games. From fun challenges to engaging activities, the team bonded through laughter, strategic thinking, and friendly competition. 

The evening closed out perfectly with a bonfire. Surrounded by flickering flames and the star-filled night sky, we shared stories over music and dance and simply relaxed in each other’s company. It was the perfect way to unwind after such an action-packed day.

The last day was bittersweet, no one wanted to leave this incredible retreat behind. After a hearty breakfast filled with chatter and reflections on the weekend, we packed our bags and said our goodbyes. The team expedition might have come to an end, but the connections we made and the memories we created will stay with us for a long time to come.

We returned to the hustle, but we carried with us the laughter, team spirit, and pure excitement of working with such an amazing group of people, to say the least.
